11 August 2017, Friday

September 15 marks 130 years after the birth of the great Tatar dramatist, actor and director Karim Tinchurin. In honor of this significant event, the Tatar State Drama and Comedy Theater named after Tinchurin plans to visit its founder’s homeland - the Penza region. The theatrical company  will present the audience a musical comedy "Picky Bridegroom" based on a play by Karim Tinchurin. On September 8 the performance will be set in Penza and on September 9 in the village Kobylkino in Kamensky district of Penza oblast, and on September 10 in the village Inderka of Sosnovoborsky district.

Although the work was written in the remote 1915, the problems raised in it are relevant to this day. Having learned the surprising news that a rich bachelor Rashid is looking for a bride in Kazan, all the swindlers of this city decided to "help" him with his mission. With the implementation of the insidious plan of the newly made "friends"  unforeseen circumstances bring their efforts to vain. The name to this circumstance is true love.

"This is a new vaudeville on an old topic," - notes the annotation of the play. The premiere of the musical comedy took place on June 3, 2014. Director and stage designer is and Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, Honored Artist of the Republic of Tajikistan Rashid Zagidullin.
