November 21 at the Kazan City Hall the XXXII Permanent Council of TURKSOI opens

Tomorrow, November 21, at the Kazan City Hall, at 11.30 AM the XXXII Permanent Council of TURKSOI opens. The meeting to be chaired by Secretary General of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) Dyusen Kaseinov, as well as the Ministers of Culture of the Organization - Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, members of the observer - the subjects of the Russian Federation - Altai, Bashkortostan, Tatarstan, Tyva, Khakassia, and Gagauzia (in the Republic of Moldova). Meeting of the TURKSOI ministers at the Kazan City Hall opens Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov.

The meeting will be attended by Minister of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mukhamediuly Arystanbek, Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic Altynbek Maksutov, Minister of Culture of Turkmenistan Annageldi Garadzhaev, First Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan Vagif Aliyev, Head of Culture and Tourism of Gagauzia (Moldova) Vassily Ivanchuk, the Minister of culture of the Republic of Khakassia Svetlana Okolnikova, Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Altai Artur Marluzhokov, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Bashkortostan  Amina  Shafikova, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey in the Russian Federation Umit Yardym,  Governor of Eskisehir  Güngör Azim  Tuna and others.

Before the meeting, members and guests will get acquainted with an exhibition devoted to the rich program "Kazan - the cultural capital of the Turkic World - 2014", its most striking moments and important events.

The agenda of the 32 meeting of the Permanent Council, besides summarizing for the reporting period, the definition of the tasks and activities, the approval of the program in the coming period, - the election of the TURKSOI Secretary-General and the Interim Coordinator of the TURKSOI. The ministers also will choose a city that becomes cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2015. Final documents of 32d meeting to be announced during the approach to the press at 16.30PM at the Kazan City Hall.

The same evening, at the Palace of Sports "Tatneft Arena", a Gala concert of the II International TV Song Contest «TURKVIZYON» to take place, which will be the final chord of the closing events of the Year. Program finale of the song contest includes a ceremony, during which Kazan gives pennant to the cultural capital city successor elected by the TURKSOI ministers.

TURKSOI - an international organization created to strengthen cooperation in the field of culture and art between the Turkic-speaking countries. The organization was founded July 12, 1993 on the basis of a the agreement  signed in the city of Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan, by the ministers of culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Turkmenistan, Turkey and the Republic of Uzbekistan. The agreement on TURKSOI, as observer members, were joined by the Ministries of Culture of the Russian Federation: Altai, Bashkortostan, Tatarstan, Tuva, Sakha-Yakutia, Khakassia and Gagauzia in the Republic of Moldova. Currently, the organization consists of 6 members and 8 observer members.

International Organization TURKSOI, which in 2013 turned 20 years old, conducted many important events in the field of culture and art. Art Collection of the TURKSOI over 1,000 paintings created by famous artists during the annual international plein air. TURKSOI also has a large collection of works by photographers. These works were exhibited in the largest exhibition centers in Turkey, Russia, France, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Morocco.

The organization signed a protocol on cooperation with many world recognized international organizations such as UNESCO, ISESCO and IFESCCO. Cultural capital of the Turkic world – fresh TURKSOI initiative: in 2012, it was Astana, in 2013, a baton took the Turkish Eskisehir.
