The Days of Culture of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Tatarstan open at the Tatar State Academic Theatre named after M. Jalil

Today, on November 4, on the scene of the Tatar State Academic Theatre named after Musa Jalil a concert featured on the occasion of the opening of the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Tatarstan.

On behalf of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Ayrat Sibagatullin welcomed the guests. "Cooperation between our peoples has received a new impetus to the development in recent years. Mutual visits by the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov to Tatarstan in 2012, the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov to Turkmenistan in 2014, the achieved agreements have opened up new opportunities for cooperation in economic and humanitarian areas", - said the Minister.

Head of Delegation, Deputy Minister of Culture of Turkmenistan Atageldy Shamuradov noted that our peoples are united by common history and culture, common spiritual values and thanked the leadership of the Republic of Tatarstan for the hospitality.

Today's concert guests presented millennial traditions of the Turkmen people, multifaceted culture and art. The concert was opened by a famed folk dance "Mengli", singers Nurmurad Nuriyev and Sakhydursun Hodzhakova. A beautiful voice of Svetlana Annadurdyeva captivated audience. The great interest of the audience caused the folk group "Dagdan" and performances by bakhshi - the performers on ancient musical string instruments - dutars and gydzhakd. Famous artists performed famous Turkmen folk songs handed down from generation to generation since ancient times.

Two years ago in Ashgabat successfully the Days of Culture of Tatarstan were performed. On the top floors of the Turkmen capital sounded Tatar music, and national arts and crafts Tatars was presented.

And in the Year of  Culture in Russia and Tatarstan, at  the cultural capital of the Turkic world - the city of Kazan, the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan are being held: We are grateful for the hospitality we had enjoyed, we meet our dear guests, prominent cultural brotherly Turkmenistan.

Until November 6, 2014, Tatarstanians expect a rich cultural program. Opening the two-day exhibition of works of arts and crafts will take place on November 5 at 11:00 in the Exhibition Hall "Hazine." Meeting with the creative and scientific intelligentsia of Turkmenistan will be held at the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan on November 5 at 15:00. November 6, at 13.00, a concert of masters of arts of Turkmenistan is due to be held at the in the G. Tukai Tatar State Philharmonic.

Festival of Arts of Turkmenistan will be a remarkable event in the cultural life of Tatarstan, to get closer our fraternal peoples, will be a worthy contribution to the development of Russian-Turkmen cooperation.
