Today ceremony of opening of the information Tourist Information stand dedicated to outstanding poet Velimir Khlebnikov is held

As part of the activities of the Year of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan  to perpetuate the memory of a prominent figure in Russian avant-garde art, the founder of Futurism poet Velimir Khlebnikov (1885-1922),  today, July 18, at 10.00 pm  at the house № 46, on.Volkova   street, ceremony of   the opening of the information - tourist Information stand  dedicated to the outstanding poet of the Silver Age of Russian poetry is held.

Ten years of the poet's life (1898-1908) were  held in Kazan. There he graduated from high school, studied at the Imperial University of Kazan (initially on a mathematical, then a natural branch of physics and mathematics faculty), wrote  first scientific works and the first verses. In the second house on the street Volkova 46 Khlebnikovs  family lived in 1906-1908.

Today Velimir Khlebnikov par with Feodor Chaliapin and Konstantin Vasilyev   enters the scope of our famous countrymen, whose names are widely and loudly heard around the world.

July 18,  Central City Library  holds Day of Velimir Khlebnikov. Library visitors will  watch a documentary dedicated to the great poet,  see an exhibition of printed materials about Velimir Khlebnikov and editions of his works,  take part in literary activities.
