In Kazan, on the Day of the Republic, the monument to Hadi Taktash unveiled

Monument to the Tatar poet was installed in the park at the intersection of Salimzhanov  and Hadi Taktash  streets.

The solemn ceremony was attended by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Vasil Shaikhraziev, Head of the Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Asgat Safarov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, Chairman of the Union of Writers of the Republic of Tatarstan  Danil Salikhov and representatives of the creative intelligentsia of Kazan.

The monument to Hadi Taktash was made by sculptors: Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Andrey Balashov and Laureate of the State Tatarstan Republic Tatarstan Prize, People's Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan Asiya Minulina. The architect is  Honored Architect of Russia and the Republic of Tatarstan, a laureate of the G. Tukai  State Award of the Republic of Tatarstan German Bakulin.

Rustam Minnikhanov noted that the monument to Hadi Taktash was established in the framework of preparations for the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the TASSR. Until 2020, it is planned to implement a set of measures to perpetuate the memory and popularize the names of prominent creative and public figures of the republic.

"Hadi Taktash is an outstanding writer who  made a great contribution to the development of Tatar poetry. He should be an example for young poets, "- said the President of the Republic of Tatarstan.

After   that  Rustam Minnikhanov and other participants of the ceremony laid flowers to the monument.

Reference: Hadi Taktash is one of the founders of Tatar literature.

He was born on January 1, 1901 in the village of Syrkidy at the Spassky district of Tambov province in a large family. He studied at the Peshle madrasah. In different years he worked as  executive secretary of the magazines Chayan, October Yashyler, Avil Yashylre, Azat Khatyn.

In 1923, the first collection of poems by Taktash was published: "Kir ularari tragediyase" hyam bashka shigyrlyar ".

In the rich creative heritage of Hadi Taktash - poems, poems, journalism, dramatic works, some of which were staged on the stage of the Tatar theater.

During his lifetime, Taktash became a recognized poet-tribune, glorifying thoughts and feelings, dreams and aspirations of the people.
