More than 40 000 people visited the VI International Festival of Wind Orchestras "Fanfares of Kazan"

August 25-26,   the Museum-Reserve "Kazan Kremlin" hosted the VI International Festival of Brass Band "Fanfares of  Kazan", organized with the support of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan R.N.  Minnikhanov.

The festival pleased the guests with a rich program. During the opening ceremony, attended by the Assistant to the  RT President  Leila Fazleeva and Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Kazan, Mr. Turhan Dilmach, the Consolidated Orchestra performed hymns of the countries participating in the festival.

For two days at  the Cannon Court of the Kazan Kremlin, the collectives presented their individual programs. With deafening success, the performance of the Turkish orchestra "Mehter", which had specially learned for the festival the Tatar song "Aerymagyz" and the beloved "Katyusha", was held. The arrival of the orchestra became possible thanks to the support of the Consul General of the Republic of Turkey.

A real gift for the citizens and visitors of the city was the march by the orchestras along the central pedestrian street of Bauman. The Nizhny Novgorod ensemble of drummers and majorettes and orchestras of the Central Military District of the Russian Defense Ministry took part in the festival for the first time.

The festival ended with a parade of orchestras around the Kremlin and individual programs at the parade ground. Their  skill  have demonstrated the already familiar for the previous years orchestras of the National Guard of the Russian Federation

At the closing ceremony, the conductors, replacing each other, led the orchestra, consisting of more than 500 musicians. And to the sounds of the famous march of V. Agapkin "Farewell of the Slav", the orchestras left the square of the Kul Sharif mosque to meet again in Kazan at the next festival.
