August 12-13, 2017 in the territory of the Bulgarian Museum-Reserve the International Festival of Medieval Battle "The Great Bolgar" to be held

Spectators will plunge into the atmosphere of every day  life  of the XIV-XV centuries. Guests of the festival will be able to watch spectacular battles of the warriors  of the Golden Horde, Russia and Europe. There will be knightly single battles at different venues, and horse and equestrian tournaments, as well as mass battles - "bugurt". This year, the festival will host the Grand Prix of Europe for the historic medieval battle with the participation of the strongest historical reconstruction clubs, many of which are prize holders  and winners of the 2017 World Cup "Battle of Nations".

In the evening, the main festival site will appear in the light of burning torches. A live performance of the guests will be pleased with the folk group TEUFELSTANZ. Colorful culmination of the day will be a theatrical fire show.

The program of the festival also includes master classes on various kinds of crafts and historical dances. The bravest will be able to try their hand at the battle of rubber swords. In addition, there will be fairs of modern and historical goods.
