Tatarstanians are invited to take part in the International Festival-Competition of young classical music performers from the Islamic world

On April 13-17, Baku will host the International Festival-Competition for young performers (under 20 years old) of classical music from the Islamic world.

The creative show, founded and organized by the Kainat Youth Center, is supported by the Islamic Organization for Education, Science and Culture (ISESCO), the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the Baku Music School  after  W. Hajibeyli.

According to the organizing committee of the festival-competition, traditionally, the performance of young talents will be evaluated by an international jury in two age groups (I - up to 15 years, II - from 16 to 20 years) and in the following categories: piano solo, organ solo, harpsichord solo; solo string instruments; wind instruments solo.

The holder of the Grand Prix, as well as the laureates will receive grants.

In 2018, the main award of the festival-competition was awarded to a Tatarstan student, a 2nd year student of the N.G. Zhiganov  Kazan State Conservatory  Tagir Kamaltdinov (class of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, Professor Evgeny Mikhailov). By the way, this is not the first victory of our compatriot. Tagir Kamaltdinov is a laureate of the 3rd prize of the VII-th International Tchaikovsky Competition of Young Musicians (Moscow, 2014), laureate of the 1st prize of the II All-Russian Competition named after Y. Egorova (Kazan, 2017), winner of the Grand Prix of the II International Competition named after R. Gummert (Kazan, 2018), scholarship holder of the V. Spivakov Foundation. The young man leads an active concert activity, he performed with the State Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Tatarstan (conducted by Faut Mansurov, Alexander Sladkovsky, Arman Tigranyan), the State Chamber Orchestra “La Primavera” (cond. Rustem Abyazov), the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Russia named after L. Nikolayev (conductor Vasily Valitov), ​​State Symphony Orchestra “New Russia” (conductor Yuri Tkachenko).
