13 November 2019, Wednesday

Today, a meeting of the Committee on Education, Culture, Science and National Issues took place, at which parliamentarians discussed  implementation of the Committee’s resolution of March 13, 2018 “On the development of musical art in the Republic of Tatarstan” and a number of other issues. The meeting was attended by Deputy Chairman of the State Council Marat Akhmetov.

The First Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic, Yulia Adgamova, talking about  implementation of the main provisions of the decree, noted that in Tatarstan the concept of development of musical art until 2030 was approved. This document reflected the issues of accessibility of musical art and music education for residents of the republic, the development of Tatar musical art in the modern cultural space,  traditional vocal and instrumental musical art of the peoples living in Tatarstan, etc.

Julia Adgamova spoke in detail about the activities of state and municipal concert organizations, about  comprehensive work to preserve and popularize public holidays and festivals, introduce new educational technologies, strengthen and update  material and technical base, etc. "Search and support for young gifted musicians is one of the priority directions of activity of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, "she emphasized.

The First Deputy Minister of Culture drew attention to the fact that the main centers for  preservation and development of national creativity are palaces and houses of culture, village clubs. So, in the republic there are about two thousand clubs, on the basis of which there are more than 15 thousand club formations, 9.5 thousand amateur creative groups, of which 547 have the title of national amateur groups.

In the republic, the network of children's art schools includes 103 educational organizations that are located in all cities and regions. The total coverage is more than 36.5 thousand children.

Kazan State Conservatory (Academy) named after N.G. Zhiganov is the main “forge” of highly qualified personnel in the field of musical art and education in the republic. The Kazan State Institute of Culture also provides personnel with  musical culture and art of the republic, however, difficulties arise in accepting applicants for specialties of traditional performance on folk instruments. Republican music colleges annually graduate about 400 young professionals who are subsequently employed in cultural and educational organizations.

Julia Adgamova also spoke about the implementation of the project to create the Internet portal "The Age of Tatar Music" in preparation for  celebration of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the TASSR. The portal will contain information on events in the musical life of the republic, scientific, musical literature, concerts, master classes, lectures will be broadcast here. A large place will be allocated to folklore material. The portal, through which national classics will be available far beyond the borders of the republic, will be presented to the general public in early 2020.
