Tatarstan film "The Prodigal Son" selected for short program competition program "Beginning - Short Meter"

The film "The Prodigal Son" by young director Oksana Sinchugova entered the contest program of short films "The Beginning - Short Meter" of  MKF  and will fight for one of the main prizes of the festival.

The festival will be held from November 20 to 24, 2017 in St. Petersburg on the territory of the Lenfilm Film Center, the House of Cinema and the Velikan  Park.

In addition to the short program, the festival will feature international programs of film debuts, retrospectives by  the Russian film director V. Svetozarov, screenwriter S. Karmalita. Also, creative meetings and master classes by  screenwriter A. Adabashyan, filmmakers S. Snezhkin, D. Astrakhan, S.Tyutin, presentations by  the French film school, the Munich film school, film school  of  Andrzej Wajda are planned. November 23 will be the pitching of full-length and short film debut projects.

Reference: the film "The Prodigal Son" was awarded with the diploma "For the development of the traditions of regional cinema" of the XIX All-Russian Shukshinsky Film Festival, won the nomination "The Best Short National Film" of the 13th Kazan International Muslim Film Festival.

Roles in the film were performed by Alexander Kuptsov - Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, People's Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan, Elena Kalaganova - Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan, Regina Sattarova - actress, theater director, Razaliya Gizyatullina - actress, teacher.
