Today Kachalovsky Theater opens the 227th theatrical season

September 15 Kazan Academic Russian Bolshoi   Drama Theater opens the 227th theatrical season.

A new theatrical year to be opened  by  the hit of Kachalov’s repertoire comedy  by  Beaumarchais "Mad day, or The Marriage of Figaro."

The first premiere of the season will be "Beg (Running)" on the play of the same name by Mikhail Bulgakov, whose rehearsals are now actively going on in the theater. The show will be held on October 6. Director - Alexander Slavutsky, artist - Alexander Patrakov, costumes by Moscow artist Elena Chetvertkova, lighting artist - Petersburger Eugene Hansburg.

By December, in the repertoire of the Small Scene, a retro concert will appear on the best samples of the national song heritage "When the Lights Turn On" staged by Ilya Slavutsky. In the work "Don Quixote" on a  immortal novel by  Cervantes.

Kachalovtsers  in the new season will have an active touring and festival activities. At the end of September in Samara at the festival "Volga Theater" on the stage of the drama theater the troupe will present "Mad Day, or The Marriage of Figaro". October 27 in Moscow Kachalovtsers  will participate in the festival "Biennale of theatrical art. The lessons of directing. " The new stage of the Vakhtangov Theater will feature the premiere of last season, one of the best performances of the repertoire, the comedy of Gogol's "Marriage" staged by Ilya Slavutsky. On a big tour Kachalovtsers  are awaited  in Sevastopol and Sochi. There are negotiations with the theaters of China and Germany.

The season will be rich and on jubilee dates. On November 27, the 70th anniversary will be celebrated by the artistic director, People's Artist of Russia and Tatarstan Alexander Slavutsky, December 24 - the 65th birthday of People's Artist of Russia and Tatarstan Svetlana Romanova, January 25 - the 70th birthday of People's Artist of Russia and Tatarstan Gennady Prytkov.
