Irada Ayupova met with activists of the volunteer movement in the field of culture

A meeting was held at the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan  on the activities of cultural volunteers in the republic. Representatives of volunteer, youth organizations, as well as educational institutions of Kazan took part in it: Kazan State Conservatory named after N.G. Zhiganov, Kazan Federal University, Kazan State Institute of Culture, Kazan Theater School, Kazan Art College named after N.I. Feshin.

The meeting was welcomed by the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, Irada Ayupova.

In 2019, hundreds of Tatarstan residents joined the volunteer movement: 372 people registered on the site “Volunteers of Russia of the Russian Federation”, another 350 actively participate in the “I-DobroTvorets” movement, students of Kazan’s leading universities and colleges joined the volunteer work. Activists held concerts, arranged festivals and creative master classes in rehabilitation centers, social shelters, orphanages and nursing homes; took part in organizing  major cultural events; Permanent projects appeared. So, students of the Kazan Art College named after N.I. Feshin every Saturday organize master classes for children with disabilities.

 

Another important issue of the meeting is  preparation and training of children. The plans include holding spring and autumn asset schools, creating a system of practices for students in creative areas, and much more. Among the primary tasks and the establishment of close work with cultural institutions. According to the survey, one of them needs help in organizing events, the other on specific days. In return, volunteers are ready to encourage letters of thanks and free visits to cultural events. Within the framework of the program of stimulating volunteer activities, the adviser to the chairman of the Youth Government of the Republic of Tatarstan  on cultural issues, Gulfiya Mutugullina, also came up with the initiative to accrue additional points to applicants of educational institutions in the field of culture for active volunteering. Volunteering, she said, could be a good alternative to practice for graduates of these universities and colleges.

 

We remind  that in 2019 the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation included the federal program “Culture Volunteers” in the national project “Culture”. Areas of volunteer activities in the field of culture: work with cultural institutions (theaters, museums, libraries, etc.); assistance in the preservation of cultural heritage monuments and the restoration of historical and cultural monuments; implementation of creative and sociocultural projects; participation in the organization of major cultural events.

As part of a program to stimulating  volunteer activities in the field of culture, a volunteer visits the most striking events of the city and republic for free; gets the opportunity to participate in the largest federal forums and festivals in Russia as part of delegations.
