Irada Ayupova: “We are all children of the Great Steppe”

The Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, Irada Ayupova, took part in a grand opening of the exhibition “The Great Steppe: History and Culture” in the framework of the international project “The Golden Man Procession in the Museums of the World”. The opening took place at  the Manezh exhibition hall of the Kazan Kremlin.

The event was attended by Consul General of Kazakhstan in Kazan Yerkin Tukumov, Director of the Kazan Kremlin Museum-Preserve Zilya Valeeva and Acting Director of the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan Almaz Nurazkhan.

“This exhibition made a tremendous impression on the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, and it was on his initiative that changes were  made to the already approved route to promote this exhibition project, and today this exhibition will be presented to residents of our republic, residents of the entire Volga region,” speech Irada Ayupova.

She also stressed that the project was facilitated by friendly, partnership relations between Russia and Kazakhstan, which are possible thanks to the efforts of the national leaders of the countries - Russian President Vladimir Putin and President of RK Nursultan Nazarbayev.

“This project is the friendship of two fraternal peoples. We are all children of the Great Steppe, ”added Irada Ayupova.

The Minister noted the significance of the cultural event for the life of the republic and expressed the hope that many visitors will visit the exhibition on March holidays. According to her, in the modern media world of new technologies, it is important to preserve artifacts.

“This exhibition shows that the future is impossible without a look into the past. The fact that no matter who we are and on what path of development we are located, we must always remember about the roots from which the future young growth will grow, the future generation, ”the Minister noted.

Earlier, at a big press conference at the Ministry of Culture, Irada Ayupova and her colleagues described in detail how the project of the exhibition was born. The Consul General of Kazakhstan expressed the hope that cooperation in the cultural sphere will become long-term and systemic. Note that in addition to the exhibition in Kazan will be the Days of Kazakhstan cinema.

Kazan became the seventh city in which the exposition is represented, including the symbol of Kazakhstan - the so-called “Golden Man”. As part of this international project, the exhibition was held in the cities of Minsk (Republic of Belarus), Moscow (Russian Federation), Baku (Azerbaijan Republic), Xi'an (China), Gdansk (Poland), Seoul (Republic of Korea).
