The Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan takes part in the meeting of the working group of the State Council of the Russian Federation in the direction of "Culture"

Today in Moscow, the first meeting of the working group of the State Council of the Russian Federation in the direction of "Culture". It was established in December 2018 by order of the President of the Russian Federation. Its structure includes prominent figures of culture and art, representatives of state and regional authorities. The Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Irada Ayupova also takes part in the meeting. The consultative body is headed by the governor of the Samara region Dmitry Azarov.

According to the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky, the Ministry of Culture of Russia sees the working group at the State Council, primarily as a platform where one   can effectively share experiences, study and consider the most interesting regional practices in the field of culture.

“We would like each of the subgroups to be created within the working group to become an effective testing ground for the implementation of innovations in the field of culture, ranging from new model libraries and regional cinema networks to branches of federal institutions and the development of cultural volunteering” - said Vladimir Medinsky.

He also noted that from the Ministry of Culture of Russia,  Deputy Minister of Culture Olga Yarilova will be in charge of the work of the working group’s apparatus.

During the meeting, approved the preliminary composition and number of subgroups of the State Council working group in the direction of "Culture" and a list of issues to be addressed at the next meetings.

The next meeting of the working group will be held in March. It will discuss current issues of state support for theatrical art in the Russian Federation. The main theme of the April meeting will be the development of the culture of the village, and in May they will discuss the development of additional education of children in the field of culture.

The national project "Culture" consists of three federal projects: "Cultural environment", "Creative people" and "Digital culture". The Cultural Environment project will provide a qualitatively new level of sectoral infrastructure development. The national project budget for the period from 2019 to 2024 is about 113.5 billion rubles.
