"Tuam Zhondozy" - "Christmas Star" - 2018 "
January 13 at 16.00 in the Tatar State Philharmonic named after G. Tukai the jubilee gala concert of the 10th competition of the festival of young performers of the Kryashen folk song will take place. The winners of the grand prix of past years, laureates of the first degree in different nominations, the brightest participants of the contest, popular pop stars, as well as the winners of the republican contest "Kryashen Chibyare" of different years are invited to participate.
The festival "Tuam Zhondozy" was established ten years ago by the Public Organization of the Kryashens of the Republic of Tatarstan. Later, the founders included the Republican cultural and educational newspaper Kryashen "Tuganailar" and the State Folklore Ensemble Kryashen "Bermyancek."
Beginning in Kazan as a city festival of Kryashen art, today the contest "Tuam Jondozy" gathers hundreds of participants from all over Tatarstan, as well as from regions of Russia. Subsequently, the contestants enter the best musical universities of Tatarstan, sing in well-known ensembles and adequately represent the Kryashen song culture at interregional, all-Russian, international competitions and festivals.
The purpose of the contest-festival of young performers of the Kryashen song is to preserve and promote the best examples of Kryashen musical creativity, to identify original ensembles and soloists, performers of folk music. Annually in its framework the contest of soloists-vocalists and folklore ensembles is held in seven nominations: "Ethnic Vocal", "Folk Vocal", "Folklore-variety vocal", "Folklore Ensemble", "Vocal Ensemble", "Vocal-Instrumental Ensemble" and "Instrumental Ensemble".
The chairman of the jury of the competition "Tuam Zhondozy" is a folklorist, candidate of art criticism, a member of the Union of Composers of Russia, an assistant professor of the department of Tatar music and ethnomusicology of the Kazan Conservatory, Honored Artist of Tatarstan Gennady Makarov.
