Musical Thursday in the Belokamin Hall of the RT National Museum

The State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan continues the cycle of artistic and musical programs "Music Thursday in the Belokamin Hall." The next evening will be held on 11 January. The beginning at 18.00.

In the first part of the evening the senior research worker of the National Museum of the  Roman Gatilov will tell about the life and work of Georgy Vereisky, the Russian Soviet artist, master of graphic portrait and landscape. A participant in the revolutionary events of 1905, a lawyer by education  Georgy Vereisky is referred to representatives of "quiet art". In the images of his models he emphasized not some kind of ideological super tasks, but a moment of inner spiritual contemplation.

At the exhibition "Russian Painting at the End of the 19th - Beginning of the 20th Century", which is currently taking place, two works by the artist are presented from the collections of the Russian Museum and the Pushkin Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan: "Alley" and "Under Old Limes".

In the second section of the "Music Thursday in the Belokamin Hall" the People's Artiste and Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan, the outstanding concertmaster Margarita Kovarskaya and the President of the Opera Club Olga Iglin will present a musical and poetic program about the poet of the Silver Age Igor Severyanin. Igor Severyanin is one of the founders of ego-futurism. In February 1918, he took part in the election of the King of Poets, winning this title from Vladimir Mayakovsky. Konstantin Paustovsky remembered one of Igor Severyanin's poetry concerts: "... This had its own magic, in this singing of verses, where the melody was extracted from the words .... Language existed only as music ... "
