On December 24 at 18.00 at  the Kazan Academic Russian Grand Drama Theater named after V. I. Kachalov  a jubilee evening of the People's Artist of Russia and Tatarstan, a laureate of the Tatarstan State Award named after  G. Tukay, a laureate of the Literary Award named after Marina Tsvetaeva Svetlana Romanova. Countess Anna Fedotovna Tomskaya in the «Queen of Spades», Ranevskaya in «the Cherry Orchard», Marya Moskaleva in «The Uncle's Dream», Celia Peach in the «The Threepenny Opera», Marfa Petrovna in «The Golden Elephant», Turusina in «Glumov», Clara Tsakhanassyan in «Visit   of the Lady» and many more characters and destinies ... On the day of her anniversary, the actress will play one of her best roles - Filumena Marturano in the play "Marriage in Italian". Colleagues and friends will come to congratulate Svetlana Romanova, and, of course, numerous admirers of her work - spectators of the Kachalovsky Theater.

Reference: Svetlana Gennadevna Romanova (Slavutskaya) was born on December 24, 1952. Graduated from the Chelyabinsk Institute of Arts. She worked in the theaters of Chelyabinsk, Chita, Rostov-on-Don. Her repertoire list includes many diverse roles, including Lipochka in «Bankrupt», Gitel in «Two on a Swing», Shen-Te in «The Good Man from Sichuan», Lyubov Yarovaya, Dunyasha in «The Cherry Orchard», The Mermaid in «The Dump» , Zeitl in «The Fiddler on the Roof».

In 1994 Svetlana Romanova was awarded the honorary title "Honored Artist of the Russian Federation", in 2002 she was awarded the honorary title "People's Artist of the Russian Federation", in 2007 she was awarded the honorary title "People's Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan", the laureate of the State Award of the Republic of Tatarstan named after T. Tukai

Since 1995 Svetlana Romanova is an actress of the Kazan Academic Russian Grand Dramatic Theater named after V. I. Kachalov. During the years of work on the Kazan stage, she made a significant contribution to the development of the theatrical art of the Republic of Tatarstan.

 Svetlana Gennadievna is the leading master of the scene, an example of high professionalism, conscientious attitude and great love for her work. Constant readiness for dedication, careful psychological development of each role, talent and ability to work on herself is the basis of Svetlana Gennadievna's authority and indisputable leadership in the troupe of one of the oldest drama theaters in Russia.

Her work has been highly praised by leading theater specialists of the country: N. Kazmina, A. Inyakhin, N. Staruselskaya, M. Falkinshtein, G. Demin. For the role of the Countess of Tomsk in the performance "The Queen of Spades" S.G. Romanova was awarded the prize "For the best actress" at the International Festival "Camerata-Transit" in Chelyabinsk in 2003, for the role of Ranevskaya in the play "The Cherry Orchard" - prize "For the best actress "by V.Ershova at the festival" Volga Theater Seasons "in Samara in 2007.

Among her first works on the Kazan stage, Ustinya Naumovna - matchmaker in the "Bankrupt" by Alexander Ostrovsky, the wife of Professor Persikov in the musical based on M. Bulgakov's novel "Fatal Eggs", Pani Tadrakhov in "Moral of Pani Dulskaya" G. Zapolsky, unusually complex on the emotional-confessional beginning a role of actress Larissa Borovitskaja in the play "Chicken blindness"  by N.Kolyada.

An extraordinary event of theatrical art was the fantastically grotesque role of the Countess Anna Fedotovna Tomskaya in theatrical fantasy based on Alexander Pushkin's novel «The Queen of Spades». Working on this image, which requires concentration of the inner world and the ability to eccentricity, Svetlana Romanova demonstrated the highest level of acting skills, the ability to instant reincarnation, content and penetration into the very essence of the image. This work has generated a huge number of enthusiastic press responses in Marseilles (France), Helsinki (Finland), Kazan, Pskov, Moscow, Sochi, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Krasnodar, Ulyanovsk, Chelyabinsk, Yekaterinburg, Bulgaria and Macedonia, Kiev, Ankara Turkey).

A special place in the work of Svetlana Romanova is played by such roles as world drama: Celia Peach in the «Threepenny Opera» by B. Brecht, K. Weil and Clara Tsakhanassyan in "Visit of the Lady" by F. Durenmatt.

One of the main pages of the creative biography of Svetlana Romanova on the Kazan stage was the work on the images of classical Russian drama, which always imposes a special responsibility on the performer. Lyubov Andreyevna Ranevskaya in the play "The Cherry Orchard" based on the play by Anton Pavlovich Chekhov, Sofya Ignatyevna Turusina in the play "Glumov" based on Alexander Ostrovsky's play "Every Wise Man is of a Very Simple Simplicity", Marya Moskaleva in the play "Uncle's Dream" based on the novel of the same name F.M. Dostoyevsky. Having the talent necessary for these works, the actress finds her ways of creating images. They combine a subtle psychological picture, lyricism, huge inner energy and expression.

The result of many years of painstaking work by Svetlana Romanova to study the life and work of Marina Tsvetaeva, the sincere love of the actress to the heritage and personality of one of the most tragic figures of Russian poetry was the solo performance "The Last Day", created in 2012. This is a valuable and rare example of comprehending the work of Marina Tsvetaeva in the theater scene, an example of a harmonious combination of great poetry with theatrical art. For the creation and performance  of the solo performance "The Last Day" in 2017 Svetlana Romanova was awarded the Literary Prize named after Marina Tsvetaeva.

Svetlana Gennadievna is a mentor of youth, a pedagogue  of skills in two acting courses of the Russian Academy of Theatrical Art - GITIS at the theater. Her lessons played a significant role in the formation of young theater actors, laid the foundation for their future mastery. Currently, the first pupils of Svetlana Gennadyevna are the leading actors of the theater.

Svetlana Romanova is a member of the Union of Theater Workers of Russia, an active participant in the life of the Union, the public life of the city and the republic.
