The State Concert Hall after S.Saidashev will host the Christmas Festival
From December 23, 2017 to January 6, 2018 at the State Grand Concert Hall named after S. Saydashev Christmas Festival will be held. The guests of the festival are waited with a special New Year program with participation of leading musical collectives of Tatarstan, classical, folklore and jazz music performers.
The festival opens on December 23 at 18.00 with the performance of two highly professional groups - the Vorozhey Theater of Russian Song under the leadership of Eleonora Kalashnikova and the folk instruments orchestra "Kazan Nury", directed by Rasim Ilyasov. In the concert program "The Snowstorm is Turning" a well-known Russian folk and author's songs in specially written modern arrangements, Christmas carols, popular music from movies and incendiary instrumental compositions will sound to all.
On December 29, the guests will receive the program "New Year in Vienna", which will be presented by the Chamber Orchestra "New Music" directed by Anna Gulishambarova, soloists Elvira Avzalova and Ildar Rakhimov. The concert will feature the most famous waltzes by Johann Strauss and vocal numbers from the operettas of J. Strauss and I. Kalman. The beginning at 18.00.
December 30, 2017, as well as on January 3,4,5,6, 2018 children and their parents are waiting for the New Year musical fantasy "Snow Maiden". Spectators are waiting for an exciting story from Rustem Galich (actor, master of the artistic word, New York) with the participation of professional vocalists, accompanied by a musical ensemble. The presentation will be accompanied by a video installation.
Before the concert in the foyer of young spectators, New Year's games are waiting for the Christmas tree with Father Frost and Snow Maiden. The beginning of concerts at 10.30 and 13.30.
On January 3, with the program "In Jazz Only Girls", the Jazz Orchestra "Fantasy" (director Yuri Kogan) will perform at the GKKZ with the New Year program. Favorite pop and jazz compositions will be performed in bright and unexpected arrangements. The concert begins at 18.00.
The concert program "Christmas by candlelight" on January 4 will be presented by five collectives of talented musicians: five quartets: a string quartet "Soloists of Tatarstan" (leader S. Ponomarev), a quartet of guitarists (head A.Begutov), a quartet of saxophones "Grand Quartet" (M. Begovatov), cover-group Drum and cellos, quartet of folk instruments "Hearts of Four" (leader O. Marina). The concert begins at 18.00.
On January 5, 18.00 Olga Skepner (vocals) and Andrei Rudenko (piano) along with musicians RUDEN Jazz trio will perform on the stage of the State Concert Hall with the program "Christmas time is here". The collection of jazz compositions of the evening will include Christmas songs, vocal and instrumental works by Sting, M. Legrand, M. Buble. Special guest - Sergei Ponomarev (cello).
On Christmas Eve - January 6 at 6 pm there will be an unusual performance - one of the most famous fairy tales of the world "Cinderella" will sound in a new musical interpretation. The story from the narrator Rustem Galich will be illustrated by online paintings on the sand from the master of sand animation Lyalya Yavkina. Vocal numbers will be performed by Yulia Ziganshina. The fairy tale will sound accompanied by a piano, harpsichord, guitar and lute.
