December 5, the Tatar Philharmonic Society named after Gabdulla Tukai will open the X International Arts Festival «Philarmoniada»

The X International  Arts  Festival  «Philarmoniada»   -  these are  10 concerts in 10 genres, 200 participants from 5 countries (Russia, Argentina, Denmark, Armenia, Donetsk People's Republic)

We remind  the International Festival «Philharmoniada»  was first organized in 2008 on the initiative of the Tatar State Philharmonic named after Gabdulla Tukaш.

The festival is the only one of its kind in the Republic of Tatarstan, as it covers all philharmonic activities and represents different genres of theatrical art: from classical to jazz, from conversational to dance, from folklore to pop.

The International Festival of Arts "Philarmonyada" is held within the framework of the annual plan of events held by  the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, and is one of the largest, iconic, popular and illuminated cultural events of the republic.

Charlie Chaplin's film "The Kid" under the musical accompaniment "Noir String Quartet" (Moscow) & Ilnur Gabidullin (electronic instruments / Moscow)

The film "The Kid" became the first full-length film by Chaplin-director.

"Noir String Quartet" (String quartet "Noir" / Moscow) is a popular Moscow collective, working in many different directions. Together with the sound engineer Ilnur Gabidullin (electronic instruments / Moscow) they create a modern sound design and combine the sound of the quartet with electronic music in real time.

Denis Mazhukov & Band (Vadim Ivashchenko (guitar), Alexander Timofeev (drums), Vladimir Chirkin (bass guitar), Moscow

Denis Mazhukov is called the king of Russian rock’n’roll. He is the only pianist and singer in Russia, performing world-class music in the style of boogie woogie, rhythm and blues, rock'n'roll.

Denis Mazhukov participated in Moscow concerts of the king of piano rock'n'roll Jerry Lee Lewis and the outstanding guitarist Chuck Berry, played together with the bass player of the legendary "Stray Cats" Lee Rocker and his team. It's worth noting that Mazhukov is the first and only musician from Russia who recorded the album at the legendary Sun Records studio in Memphis, Tennessee, at the birthplace of rock’n’ roll, which in 1954, unknown to anyone, was a truck driver named Elvis Presley came to record a song for his mother.

Mazhukov's concert is the whole story of rock'n'roll, since Denis uniquely reveals the entire epoch of the 50's, affecting the era of the 40's, 60's and even 30's!

The concert program "Time of Hope - Space of Love" is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the birth of the famous composer and songwriter of many hits of the Soviet stage, Denis Mazhukov's father Alexei Mazhukov.

Honored State Academic Song and Dance Ensemble "Donbass" (Artistic Director - Olga Goryacheva)

Theart of the collective, the laureate of many international competitions, is many-faceted , like the region itself, where representatives of 130 nationalities live. At the beginning of the creation of the collective was the composer Zinovy ​​Dunaevsky - the author of the "Miner's Waltz", written specially for the ensemble. For outstanding achievements in the development of culture ensemble "Donbass" in 1966 was awarded the honorary title "Honored". And exactly in forty years, in 2006, the ensemble becomes "academic". "Donbass" is the only creative team awarded with the "Miner's Glory Award" of the 1st degree.

Poetic evening of Larissa Rubalskaya (Moscow)

Larisa Rubalskaya is  Honored Artist of Russia, a member of the Writers' Union of Moscow, a Soviet and Russian poetess. During her career Larisa Rubalskaya wrote poems for more than 600 songs performed by A. Pugacheva, F. Kirkorov, I. Allegrova, T. Ovsienko, Alsu, I. Kobzon, J. Evdokimov, M. Boyarsky and other popular Russian stage artists.

Stars of Armenia

Jivan Gasparyan Jr. and "GREAT ARMENIAN QUARTET"

"GREAT ARMENIAN QUARTET" is an original ensemble from Armenia, performing original music that goes beyond the usual representations. Musicians combine in their work modern styles of world music - jazz, ethnic music, folk, free improvisation. The sound of the quartet is distinguished by an unusual combination of instruments - piano, saxophone and duduk.

Jivan Gasparyan Jr. is the grandson and successor of the world-famous Armenian musician and composer, a connoisseur of the Armenian national school, master of duduk playing - Djivan Gasparyan. All the instruments with which Gasparyan is speaking are unique, since they are made of the wood of apricot tree by Gasparian senior himself.

 

 

 

Vaagn Ayrapetyan is one of Armenia's most popular jazz musicians, honored art worker of Armenia, pianist, composer. Ayrapetyan is a graduate of the composer's faculty of the Yerevan State Conservatory. In 2004, he organized the avant-garde folk club "Katuner". He performs in joint projects with Igor Butman, Daniel Kramer, Alvin Jones.

Armen Usnunts - Honored Art Worker of Armenia, rightfully bearing the title of the best saxophonist of the republic. At different times he played in the Military Orchestra of the Guard of Honor (Moscow), in the State Jazz Orchestra of Armenia, was the leading saxophonist of the Pop and Symphony Orchestra of the State Television and Radio of Armenia. Usnunts often takes part in many international festivals, performing with such musicians as Chick Corea, Billy Cobham and Joe Zawinul. Since 2011, he is the artistic director of the State Jazz Orchestra of Armenia.

Vartan Babayan graduated from the pop and jazz department of the Russian Academy of Music. Gnesinyh on the class of percussion instruments. He worked in the variety and symphony orchestra of the State Television and Radio of Armenia, played in the Yerevan ensemble of percussion instruments, as well as in a number of jazz and blues collectives of Moscow. Currently he is the organizer and leader of the project "VB QUINTET".

In the program of the concert: ethnic music, music for movies, folk jazz and Armenian folk melodies.

Composer Sergei Nikitin (Moscow) and Igor Lerman's Chamber Orchestra (Naberezhnye Chelny) with the program "And the autumn that suddenly began ..."

Sergei Nikitin - Honored Artist of Russia, a Soviet and Russian composer, candidate of physical and mathematical sciences.

The music of Sergei Nikitin is loved by millions of listeners and is in great demand in the theater, cinema, television and radio. Sergei Nikitin wrote music for the film "Moscow does not believe in tears," directed by V. Men’shov, and in 1980 received an Oscar for Best Foreign Film of the Year.

Igor Lerman's chamber orchestra is one of the leading musical collectives of Tatarstan and Russia. At different times, Elena Obraztsova, Nikolay Petrov, Boris Berezovsky, Viktor Tretyakov, Alexander Knyazev, Borodin Quartet, Moscow Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra conducted by Vladimir Spivakov and other well-known performers and collectives performed with him.

In the program of the concert: songs and romances by  Sergei Nikitin, instrumental pieces by the composer in the arrangement by Pyotr Klimov.

Argentine tango

The nostalgic melodies and scorching rhythms of sensual Argentine tango will be presented by Argentinean tango champions Martina Valdman, José Fernández (Argentina) and the magnificent Russian ensemble "Solo Tango Orquesta" (Moscow), which in a short time soared to the top of the world Tango-Olympus and recognized one of the best interpreters of tango in the world. The orchestra won the XXXV international competition festival in Castelfidardo in the category "Piazzolla Music" (Italy), the XXXXVIII international competition in Klingenthal (Germany), as well as the laureate of the international contest "Libertango" (Barnaul) and the owner of the special prize of the P.P. I. Tchaikovsky (Moscow).

Mikhail Guzhov - Honored Artist of Russia, a bright representative of the famous Russian bass school, a powerful and original voice of a timbre. The creative achievements of the artist were repeatedly appreciated with high professional awards. Since 1998 and to this day M. Guzhov is a recognized master of opera stage and concert stage, decorating with his multi-faceted art the scene of the Moscow musical theater "Helikon-Opera". Currently, in its richest repertoire there are about 60 different operatic parts in terms of genres, style and scale. Among them are Boris Godunov's parts in the same opera by M. Mussorgsky, Konchak (Prince Igor by A. Borodin), Tsar Dodon (The Golden Cockerel by N. Rimsky-Korsakov), Kochubey (Mazepa by P. Tchaikovsky), Kukharka (" Love for the Three Oranges "by S. Prokofiev), Zaccaria (Nabucco by G. Verdi), Don Basilio (" The Barber of Seville "by G. Rossini) and many others.

 

Alexey Tikhomirov is a graduate of the Kazan Conservatory, a scholarship holder of the Fyodor Shalyapin Foundation, a soloist of the Moscow Helikon-Opera Theater, and a guest soloist of the Bolshoi Theater. In the immediate plans of Alexei concert performances with famous orchestras of Russia and Europe.

Dmitry Skorykov is the owner of a powerful bass, soloist of the Bolshoi Theater of Russia and Helikon-Opera, a regular participant of the Romance of Romance program on the Culture channel. In the repertoire of the singer there are numerous parts from the operas by  Verdi, Dvorak, Tchaikovsky, Musorgsky, Rossini, Prokofiev, Rimsky-Korsakov, etc. In 2017, Skorikov was nominated for the prestigious national theater prize Golden Mask (2016) for Best Actor - Boris Timofeevich Izmailov in the opera by D. Shostakovich "Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk" at the Samara Opera and Ballet Theater. Concert activity occupies a significant place in his work. He always performs solo concerts at prestigious venues in Moscow and tours the cities of Russia, performing old Russian romances, folk songs, chamber vocal works and arias from operas, songs of domestic and foreign pop music.
